You can say, golf in Kanchanaburi is synonymous with golf in River Kwai; yes, the River Kwai of the famous book
and movie of the Death Railway of World War II Thailand. And, golf in the famous River Kwai Valley has been
something of a well-kept secret. Those lucky few who have
discovered it, have found a new dimension to the game that only the famous river can produce. There are now a
number of top quality golf courses to be found in this region. Variety is no longer a problem anymore for anyone
interested in a good golf package here. River Kwai golf provides an ideal retreat during your custom Thailand
golf vacation. In fact, quite a few of our clients were quite amazed at the quality and superb golf values in
the area.
As of last count, there are around ten golf courses of varying quality in the Kanchanaburi area. One of the most popular and often considered the best, depending on who you feel more comfortable listening to, is the 27-hole Nichigo Resort and Country Club Championship Course designed by Mitsuaki Kobayashi, who has more than 90 golf courses around the world to his credit. It is an ideal venue, to say the least of this golf club, for you to admire scenic views of landscaped gardens and a sparkling lake whilst enjoying international and local cuisines. There is even a replica of the famous railway if you do not have the time to go visit the real one.

Together they make a good selection for golf vacation packages of any duration. If you do not have the time
and must always be in Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is only about 3 hours' drive on good road. A short package over the
weekend is always possible. Otherwise, take your time to soak up on the natural and rugged beauty of a riverine
setting with majestic views of the mountain as the backdrop, in between rounds of golf of course!
